If your palms drip with sweat at the thought of going to the dentist, you may need a stronger anxiety reliever. Dr. Harris offers conscious sedation for anxious, stressed, or fearful patients.
Prior to your appointment, you will take an oral sedative to reduce anxiety. Then while the dentist treats you, his assistant will administer nitrous oxide. You will feel completely relaxed and in a dream-like state. You won't lose consciousness, but you may fall asleep. You will need to bring someone along to drive you home.
When you call to set your appointment with the dentist, let our staff know if you think you will need conscious sedation. Dr. Harris treats patients from Belton, Killeen, Nolanville, and Troy in our conveniently located Temple office.
